Alison Richards Art Photography

Much of my work consists of close-up abstract and semi abstract images. My main focus is on colour and pattern, which can be found in the most obscure places. I am fascinated by surfaces, texture and form and the way that these have been affected by the forces of nature and man.

My favourite source of inspiration in Britain is the coast as it offers such a wealth of photographic opportunities. Outside England, France is my favourite destination and another great source of inspiration. I return from each holiday there with at least another year’s work!
